1. What Are The Arrangements?
We meet once a month (usually on a Friday) and take it in turns to host at our humble abodes. The host provides the wine and nibbles and has the honour of choosing next month's book.
2. How do I Join?
Sadly, our reading group is currently full and having to operate a waiting list. If you would like to stake a claim on the waiting list, or can't wait and want some tips as to how to start up your own reading group, please drop us a line via our contact page.
3. What Kind of Books Do You Read?
There are no rules but we've tended to stick to fiction published over the last century that has been recommended in some way to us. We've covered different genres including children's books (Northern Lights), Sci-Fi (A Scanner Darkly) and Crime (Motherless Brooklyn) and found that one of the delights of being part of a reading group is the chance to read novels that we wouldn't normally consider.
See our Old Reads page for novels we have read and for the novel we are currently reading.
5. What's The Catchment Area?
Our group is drawn from in and around the Oxford area.
